Liberty Square at Disney World

I wanted to take a brief break from all the price guide building and post a card that I just got in an eBay auction.  I live on the west coast, so I do not get to Disney World that often…in fact I have only been twice.  But this card represents one of my favorite parts of the park.  The architecture, costumes, and overall feel of the place are a great tribute to our nation’s origins.

As I metioned in a previous post, Walt Disney had originally intended for something like this to be put in place in Anaheim at Disneyland.  But, presumably, as plans for Walt Disney World matured, the concept was moved there.  There is certainly more space there…so I suspect that played into the move.

Until next time…

Blogging here and at Sundry Collectibles on comic books, vintage airline postcards, and other stuff!

About Todd

Hello. I have been collecting Disneyland postcards and paper items for a few years now and figured I would start to share my collection with any and all who are interested. I actually started blogging on Blogger (sundrycollectibles.blogspot.net) but after a while realized I wanted a dedicated Disney site since it is a fairly niche hobby. Enjoy!
