NT0591 Art Corner Pecos Bill

Another interesting auction result today on this Art Corner card.  The auction was for seven days and when I first saw it I put in a low ball bid of $20 or so to just remind me the auction was out there.  I do not have this card…and I did not win this auction.

$130 sounds kind of steep to me for this card.  Would it fetch this result again if another card showed up next week?  Hard to say…but I suspect it would.  We probably won’t be able to answer this question though, as I it will likely be a while before another one of these pops up.  But…you never know!

In the mean time…this card has firmly entrenched itself in the “Very Rare” category with this result.

Until next time…

About Todd

Hello. I have been collecting Disneyland postcards and paper items for a few years now and figured I would start to share my collection with any and all who are interested. I actually started blogging on Blogger (sundrycollectibles.blogspot.net) but after a while realized I wanted a dedicated Disney site since it is a fairly niche hobby. Enjoy!

Hi Todd, I read this a few days ago when you posted it and wanted to comment but decided to wait until I had a different purchase in my hands. What was my purchase? Take a look at auction 110980708899. I purchased it as a buy it now for only $24.99 and $0.99 shipping. What a deal. There are some other cards with it, one being the 1954 Dumbo card. The Pecos Bill card is in great condition other than the 2 tape marks and pin hole. I guess it was my turn to be lucky. 🙂 Rob

Hey Rob…I just saw this comment of your…that’s great! I think you did get lucky. To get that, the Dumbo card, and the other stuff was indeed an awesome deal. I totally missed that auction…I would be curious to know how long it was up before you bought it. Do you recall?? Sometimes you have to catch those things pretty quick, or someone (like you) will snap them up! Cheers…and happy hunting.

Hi Todd, I think it was up for only 5 to 10 minutes. I happened to catch it early and didn’t hesitate. Another great find was in another lot that I had won. Item 350631690957 contained a Tahitian Terrace in excellent condition. Not bad for about $0.70 a card. I have no idea what it’s worth though.
