on the cover, with the number 25 spelled out with images of the 31 cards in the set. \u00a0It has an original price tag of 2000 Yen on it&#8230;so, about $25 \u00a0back in 2008&#8230;give or take.<\/p>\n<p>The cards themselves celebrate the 25th <a href=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Disney_Tokyo_25th.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-997\" alt=\"Disney_Tokyo_25th\" src=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Disney_Tokyo_25th-294x300.jpg\" width=\"294\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Disney_Tokyo_25th-294x300.jpg 294w, https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Disney_Tokyo_25th.jpg 628w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 294px) 100vw, 294px\" \/><\/a>anniversary not only of the park, but also of<br \/>\nDisneySea. \u00a0Apparently the concepts that were executed at DisneySea had been in the making for nearly 20 years by the time the park was opened in 2001. \u00a0Based on the Wikipedia entry, the park was potentially going to be built in Long Beach, California. \u00a0This didn&#8217;t happen though due to financial issues. \u00a0I am not quite sure why financial issues would cause the park to be built in Japan and not in the U.S. \u00a0Another site online says that Long Beach and Anaheim were actually competing to build a second Disney park in Southern California, and <a href=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Disney_Tokyo_25th_0001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-994\" alt=\"Disney_Tokyo_25th_0001\" src=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Disney_Tokyo_25th_0001-300x300.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Disney_Tokyo_25th_0001-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Disney_Tokyo_25th_0001-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Disney_Tokyo_25th_0001.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Anaheim won the competition, which lead to Disney California Adventure. \u00a0I have to believe that there is more to this story&#8230;and that one of the readers of this blog can fill us in!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway&#8230;back to the cards. \u00a0They are fairly basic with some interesting designs. \u00a0One note&#8230;the cards are all essentially identical on the back. \u00a0There are no numbers that differentiate one from another. \u00a0So&#8230;this really is something that goes as a set.<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to blogging on more &#8220;exo-Disneyland&#8221;
