post card with Ludwig von Drake featured on the front. \u00a0This is not technically a post card, I think. \u00a0But whoever designed it figured they would put some markings on the back to make so that it could be used as a post card if so desired. \u00a0And this card is certainly not in the Nickel Tour as it was not a card sold in the park.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/World_Of_Color_0001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-945\" alt=\"World_Of_Color_0001\" src=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/World_Of_Color_0001-300x214.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/World_Of_Color_0001-300x214.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/World_Of_Color_0001.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I suspect this card was given out by NBC&#8230;perhaps at the studio in Burbank. \u00a0But that is just a guess. \u00a0Either way&#8230;it&#8217;s a great memento from a time when color television was brand new, and Disney was exploiting it to the hilt. \u00a0If you didn&#8217;t get a chance to catch the video I linked to in the Ludwig von Drake squeaker post, definitely check it out&#8230;clearly a promotion for color TV.<\/p>\n<p>By the way&#8230;the card does say &#8220;Copyright 1961 WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS&#8221; on the front. \u00a0So, that does support the idea that this card was put out by the NBC right when the &#8220;Wonderful World of Color&#8221; first aired on TV. \u00a0For a modern day interpretation of the &#8220;World of Color&#8221;, you&#8217;ll have to go see the light show at Disney California Adventure&#8230;that is quite a show!<\/p>\n<p>Until next time&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A couple of posts ago I mentioned that I had acquired a &#8220;Wonderful World of Color&#8221;
