\"Behind_Magic_0003\"<\/a>I have been meaning to post on this set for a long time and am only now getting around to it. \u00a0Too many cards, too little time!<\/p>\n

This set, “Behind the Magic – 50 Years of Disneyland” was an exhibit at The Henry Ford<\/a>\u00a0in Dearborn, Michigan. \u00a0The set consists of 24 different cards, all about 4X6 inches…maybe a little less. \u00a0All the cards feature concept art for everything from Pirates of the Caribbean to Disneyland Paris.<\/p>\n

What’s great about this set is the wide variety of work represented, and the seldom seen\u00a0pieces that are reproduced. \u00a0The Ryman castle sketch is a classic that is familiar to most Disney fans. \u00a0But \"Behind_Magic_0004\"<\/a>how many of you have seen the Tom Sawyer Island art work before (shown here – artist not credited, listed as 1956). \u00a0Or, what about the color concept for the castle at Disneyland Paris? \u00a0Or the concept art for Mickey’s car in Toontown?<\/p>\n

The set pops up on eBay<\/a>\"\" now and then, but it is not that common. \u00a0Expect to pay between $20 and $30 for it. \u00a0That’s what I paid anyway…maybe you can get a better deal!<\/p>\n
