For the first six issues, it was called Disneyland Holiday, possibly to associate it with the Holidayland part of Disneyland. Vacationland was the brainchild of Disney legend Marty Sklar. The first issue appeared Spring 1957. The magazine was published quarterly by Disney to theme in with the different seasons. (Later it was published just three times a year.)&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Vacationland_Rec_Ad.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2308\" alt=\"Vacationland_Rec_Ad\" src=\"https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Vacationland_Rec_Ad-115x300.jpg\" width=\"115\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Vacationland_Rec_Ad-115x300.jpg 115w, https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Vacationland_Rec_Ad.jpg 246w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 115px) 100vw, 115px\" \/><\/a>It really is a wonderful magazine as it highlights the happenings at the park and also has many images and artwork that bring back the past of the park in all of its wonderful detail. \u00a0Many of the images are identical to the postcards of the era, but many are different. As Mr. Korkis says, it was primarily an advertising vehicle, so there are a lot of ads in the magazine&#8230;.but even they are fun to look at given the distance of 60 years. \u00a0Shown here is an ad for Disneyland Records&#8230;how about we break out the turn table and have a listen to &#8220;Meet Me Down on Main Street&#8221;?!?!<\/p>\n<p>Of course, issues of <a href=\"http:\/\/rover.ebay.com\/rover\/1\/711-53200-19255-0\/1?icep_ff3=9&amp;pub=5575059682&amp;toolid=10001&amp;campid=5337396584&amp;customid=Vacationland&amp;icep_uq=Vacationland+Magazine&amp;icep_sellerId=&amp;icep_ex_kw=&amp;icep_sortBy=12&amp;icep_catId=&amp;icep_minPrice=&amp;icep_maxPrice=&amp;ipn=psmain&amp;icep_vectorid=229466&amp;kwid=902099&amp;mtid=824&amp;kw=lg\" target=\"_blank\">Vacationland magazine<\/a><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"text-decoration: none;
