Then and Now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.disneypostcards.com\/cards\/card_detail.php?id=553\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1276\" alt=\"NT0803\" src=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/NT0803-188x300.jpg\" width=\"188\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/NT0803-188x300.jpg 188w, https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/NT0803.jpg 403w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 188px) 100vw, 188px\" \/><\/a>One of the things that I think so many people like about Disneyland is that it doesn&#8217;t really change that much. \u00a0Sure..it does change, they have the cranes erected over Thunder Mountain as we speak. \u00a0But, there is still a constancy to it. \u00a0The buildings on Main Street, the canal boats in Fantasyland, the castle&#8230;you get the idea.<\/p>\n<p>When I was at the park this past April, I decided to take a couple of &#8220;Then and Now&#8221; shots and compare them. \u00a0I featured one of these comparisons (<a href=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/town-square-then-and-now-etc\/\">looking down Main Street<\/a>) in a post not too long ago. \u00a0Today I have a comparison of Le Grand Courtyard, from the late 1960&#8217;s when the post card photo was taken&#8230;and 2013.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see&#8230;not a whole lot has <a href=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/NT0803_now.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1275\" alt=\"NT0803_now\" src=\"http:\/\/disneypostcards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/NT0803_now-186x300.jpg\" width=\"186\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/NT0803_now-186x300.jpg 186w, https:\/\/sundrycollectibles.net\/disneypostcards\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/NT0803_now.jpg 398w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 186px) 100vw, 186px\" \/><\/a>changed in the courtyard since the day it was completed. \u00a0But there are a few things to note. \u00a0Some of the paint colors have been altered, most notably in that inset\u00a0cupola\u00a0in the back. \u00a0The walls are yellow now&#8230;as opposed to a more grayish blue from before (sorry if that isn&#8217;t quite right, I am a little color blind!). \u00a0And of course the lady with the beehive isn&#8217;t there today and no flowers are for sale!<\/p>\n<p>Next time you are in the park&#8230;bring some cards along and see if you can get any good then and now shots. \u00a0I would be happy to share them.<\/p>\n<p>Until next time&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the things that I think so many people like about Disneyland is that it doesn&#8217;t really change that much. \u00a0Sure..it does change, they have the cranes erected over Thunder Mountain as we speak. \u00a0But, there is still a &hellip;
